Alicia Keys took time to honor her friend and fellow musician Pharrell Williams at the Hollywood Film Awards.
Keys made a bold fashion statement by styling her baby hairs into intricate, embellished kiss curls.
The singer-songwriter wore her long hair in a thick braid adorned with tiny jewels and added several jewels to her face within the swirls of her kiss curls.
On her way to the ceremony at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, the “Girl On Fire” hitmaker shared a close-up of her hairstyle with her Instagram followers.
“I’m feeling pretty and girly right now,” she said in a video clip recorded in the back of a limousine.
She mentioned she was attending the awards show to present Pharrell with the Hollywood Song Award for “Letter to My Godfather” from the Netflix documentary The Black Godfather.
For the event, Keys wore a full-length black gown by Stella McCartney.
The dress featured a high neckline, long sleeves, and a large cutout at the back with a silver strap running up her spine.
The outfit also included a short train extending from the back of the dress below the cutout.
Keys posed on the red carpet with Williams, who wore a hand-painted black leather jacket over a Mickey Mouse t-shirt.
