Alicia Keys, accompanied by her two sons, was spotted at JFK airport in New York, exuding joy as she chatted with a friend. The singer’s upbeat demeanor may be attributed to her Emmy nomination for hosting the Grammys in the Variety Special (live) category. She sported a summer casual look in cuffed white jeans and a white tank top, accessorized with a beige fedora and round purple-lensed sunglasses, along with black studded sandals. Smiling at fans, she carried a black backpack and had a black sweatshirt tied around her waist as her sons, Egypt and Genesis, accompanied her. Keys shares her sons with her husband Swizz Beatz, with whom she will celebrate their wedding anniversary later this month.

Before her flight, Keys took to Instagram to express her excitement about the nomination, thanking the team and crew who worked on the February award show. Her husband also joined in the celebration with a flurry of heart emojis in the comments. The Variety Special (live) category includes other award shows from last season, such as the Golden Globes, Tony Awards, Oscars, as well as live broadcasts of “Rent” and “Live In Front Of A Studio Audience: Norman Lear’s ‘All In The Family’ And ‘The Jeffersons.’” The Emmy Awards ceremony will take place in September, although no host has been announced yet.
