Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson is ꜱʋгe Mohamed Salah will leave the club tҺis summer and go onto become a ‘king’ in Saudi Arabian football

Mohamed Salah’s current contract with Liverpool extends until the summer of 2025. With manager Jurgen Klopp announcing his departure at the end of the season, there’s growing speculation that the 31-year-old forward may seek new opportunities. Despite signing a new deal in 2022, Liverpool icon Lawrenson has endorsed the idea that Salah could conclude his extended tenure with the club and is anticipating a potential move to a team in the Saudi Pro League.

Speaking to PаԀԀy Power, the ex-defender said: “100 percent Mo Salah will definitely leave this summer. No matter what happens this season, I think there was a deal last summer. He’ll go and play somewhere like Saudi Arabia and hopefully Liverpool get a massive fee and get a couple of players off the back of it. Salah will be a king in Saudi! He could’ve gone last summer and stormed into Jurgen Klopp’s office and said ‘I want to go’ but he’s not done that. The lads who have come in [in Salah’s absence] know that they’re fιɡҺting for their position, which is great, as long as a couple of them don’t get ιnjᴜrеԀ.”

The announcement of Klopp’s forthcoming departure has reverberated throughout the footballing community, and if Salah were also to depart, it would constitute a significant double setback for Liverpool. The ex-Roma player stands as one of Liverpool’s most successful signings, having joined for £36.5 million ($46 million) from the Italian side in 2017. Over the course of 332 games, Salah has notched an impressive record of 204 goals and 88 assists, contributing significantly to Liverpool’s success with six trophy victories during his tenure.
