Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold, along with Wrexham co-owners Ryan Reynolds and RoĆ„ McElhenney, has acquired ownership of the Alpine Formula 1 team.
As part of Investment Manager APEX’s strategic investment in motorsports, the England international defender is joined by tennis player Alexander Zverev, golf icon Rory McIlroy, and former heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua.
This collaboration expands the syndicate established by Otro Capital, which acquired a 24 percent stake in Alpine for $200 million (ÂŁ165 million) in June.
Notable figures such as actors Reynolds, McElhenney, and Michael B. Jordan, as well as football players Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, have also joined the venture.
Expressing his excitement, Alexander-Arnold shared his eagerness to support the global growth of Formula 1, emphasizing the sport’s blend of creativity, precision, and teamwork.
Alpine F1, currently valued at $900 million (£741 million), aims to maintain its ambition despite finishing fourth in the 2022 Formula One Constructors’ Championship.
