Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez, upon revealing that he won’t be with the club next season, urged for unity but expressed deep concerns about the future. He described the managerial role as ‘cruel’ and ‘unpleasant’ due to relentless pressure and constant criticism, attributing negɑtive effects on his health. Xavi highlighted the club’s failure to value the efforts of its players and managers, citing examples like Ernesto Valverde, Luis Enrique, and Pep Guardiola.

When asked for advice to his successor, Xavi admitted the challenges and suggested staying true to oneself while acknowledging the inevitability of facing similar difficulties. 

Despite achieving his dream of coaching Barcelona successfully, he warned that enjoying the role is nearly impossible.

 Xavi lamented feeling constantly criticized by the press, emphasizing the discrepancy between his statements and public reception, and explained the emotional tоll of feeling inadequate in such a demanding position.
