Cristiano Ronaldo, at one point, overlooked Marcus Rashford, and it appears the Portuguese superstar had valid reasons. Rashford’s recent controversies involve instances of indiscipline, partying two consecutive nights ahead of a crucial Man Utd training session.

Initial reports by British media indicated Rashford’s presence at Thompsons Garage nightclub on Wednesday night (January 24).

 As per the schedule, he was expected to return to England on Thursday (January 25) for a training session on the morning of January 26, preparing for the FA Cup fourth-round match against Newport.

Coach Erik ten Hag initially cited illness preventing Rashford from practicing. 

However, The Athletic later disclosed that the English international had engaged in two consecutive nights of partying in Northern Ireland. Notably, he was reportedly inebriated and required assistance to enter his room.

In response, Rashford faced internal disciplinary action, including a two-week salary deduction and exclusion from the 4-2 victory over Newport.

This incident brings to mind Cristiano Ronaldo’s earlier statement during a high-profile interview with Piers Morgan.

 When queried about the most professional player at Man Utd, CR7 notably omitted Rashford, despite the latter being the team’s primary striker at that time, known for his explosive play and goal-scoring contributions.

Ronaldo explicitly praised young talent Diogo Dalot, emphasizing his professionalism and predicting a long-lasting football career. He also commended Casemiro for his consistent awareness of his role in the team. 

Additionally, Lisandro Martinez received acknowledgment from Ronaldo, highlighting the Argentine midfielder’s on-field contributions.
