Kai Rooney, son of Wayne Rooney, made a triumphant return from injᴜry, showcasing an impressive performance for Manchester United’s Under-14s. 

Following in his father’s footsteps as a forward, Kai has consistently delivered stellar displays for the Red Devils’ academy teams, generating excitement among fans. 

The 14-year-old, known for keeping his substantial social media following updated on his achievements, recently shared a snapshot of his Manchester United shirt in the dressing room after a match with his 174,000 Instagram followers.

 He claimed to have scored twice and provided two assists in a 6-0 victory over Leeds, marking his first match back after months out. 

Kai’s notable performances, including a cup final win over Manchester City last year, have drawn praise from fans who even likened his chest control technique to that of his legendary father, Wayne Rooney—the all-time leading goalscorer for Manchester United and England.

 Kai, the eldest of Rooney’s four sons, signed a modeling contract with Puma in 2022, opting for Puma boots on the pitch despite his father’s affiliation with Nike throughout his career. Kai’s involvement in Puma’s back-to-school campaign last summer further solidified his partnership with the brand.
