In a heartwarming campaign video, the three players were seen wearing aprons, tasked with creating the most irresistible doughnut and bagel offerings for the enjoyment of the city’s residents. The players radiated enthusiasm as they distributed free doughnuts to passers-by and engaged in friendly rivalry.

Liverpool FC’s partnership with VistaPrint goes beyond this event, with initiatives such as work experience opportunities and the “Small Business of The Match” program. This program grants UK small business owners visibility through pitch-side advertising during Liverpool FC’s home games, accompanied by an unforgettable Anfield experience on match day. As part of this campaign, VistaPrint generously donated £3,000 to assist The Bagelry in acquiring new kitchen equipment.

During the competition, Ryan Gravenberch mentioned cooking for himself in Germany, Dominik Szoboszlai emphasized the importance of an attractive presentation, and Ibrahima Konaté noted that his creation was made with love and passion. In the end, Szoboszlai’s doughnut was crowned the winner, earning accolades from fans after an energetic sales pitch from all three players.

Antoine Thieser, the brand strategy director at VistaPrint Europe, expressed delight in the ongoing partnership with Liverpool FC, highlighting their commitment to supporting small businesses in Liverpool. Sam Stonehouse, co-owner of The Bagelry, also expressed gratitude for the positive impact the initiative had on their business, noting increased social media mentions and a significant influx of new customers.

“The Konate” bagel, named after Ibrahima Konaté, will be featured at The Bagelry throughout February, allowing customers to savor the winning creation.

Thanks to the collaboration between VistaPrint, Liverpool FC, and the players, the campaign successfully shines a spotlight on local small businesses, providing them with increased visibility and support to flourish within the community.
