 According to Fotboll Direkt journalist Ola Gustavsson, Liverpool, RB Leipzig, and Bologna are actively pursuing the young talent, with Liverpool even engaging in “secret meetings” in Gothenburg. However, there is no finalized agreement as of now.

Rousing the Kop supports this claim, mentioning Liverpool’s preparations for a bid, although additional details are scarce, except for the City Football Group’s expressed interest in making an offer.

Speaking about the interest from big clubs, Sonko acknowledged the rumors but emphasized that they only become significant when actual bids are made. He noted that while it’s amusing to read about it, having friends repeatedly mention it can become tiresome. When asked about a potential call from Klopp, Sonko responded with humor, considering it unlikely for the Liverpool manager to call him personally. He suggested that Klopp might find it easier to contact his agents and expressed that he hasn’t received any such call yet.
